Becker & Becker associates is a small firm with two offices: one in Bridgeport CT and one in New York. The firms works exclusively on residential projects as architects but also as developers. They specialize in sustainable refurbishments and constantly innovate in terms of energy efficiency and on site power generation. While working for Becker & Becker I mainly contributed to 2 projects:

Hartford, CT
This 28 story building located in the center of Hartford was originally designed in 1967 by Welton Becket and used to be the headquarters of the Hartford national bank and Bank of America. The concept of the project was to refurbish this office building and transform it into a residential complex. My work consisted in producing technical and commercial documents to facilitate the construction and leasing processes. I worked on the apartment plans aswell as the commercial leasing spaces (coffee shop, office, pharmacy, gym and yoga studio,etc...) in direct relation with the clients. I also created a 3d model for the entire building including the amenity floor which led me to produce a short video of these spaces.

Mott Haven, Bronx, NY
A 90 unit affordable housing project that was in desperate need of a complete remodeling. My work consisted in following the construction site's progress twice a week by establishing punchlists for each apartment as well as the exterior spaces, roofing and facades. The real challenge in this project was the creation of specific construction details to encapsulate or remove the large quantities of asbestos present on site. My work also consisted in coordinating the workers on site with the tenants' schedules in order to make the construction phase as smooth and easy as possible for everyone involved.
